We The People

Whoa.

-Parades. (Concert 15/04/2011)

-Jonathan Boulet. (Drummer du band Parades)

Samedi dernier, j'ai eu la chance d'assister au concert du nouveau band We The People.

Loving it.

Australian Sunset, beautiful as usual.

Australia, laid back and relaxed people living day by day... Why did I leave you last september?

Your Fish&Chips, your indie alternative music and festivals, your funky expressions like heapspass me the dead horse and hit the frog and toad, your population of blond blue eyed hipster... Whoa.

Usually when you arrive in a country with 14h of time difference after a 27h flight, you go to bed. I say no to conformity: let's move.

Discovery of the excellent band that Quebec have to know about:

Last Saturday, I went to the gig of a new band called We The People. I even had the honor of participating in the creation of their flyers for the night. Excellent band, you have to listen to their stuff.

The next day, I went to the Victoria Market witch look a lot like Jean Talon Market in Montreal, but times three.
After buying a good baguette, thin sliced turkey (but not too thin), fresh rocket and swiss cheese, we pic-nicked in the park in the shade under a palm tree. And they call this autumn... Joy.

Melbourne is the warm version of Montreal. Loving it.

Now, heading off to the country side to my new hometown for the next two months: Benalla.

Have a good life.

AVRIL 2011 - SEPTEMBRE 2011 : Australie (Benalla + Mt Buller)
SEPTEMBRE 2011 - NOVEMBRE 2011 : Asie du Sud-Est.
NOVEMBRE 2011 - MARS 2012 : Suisse (St-Moritz)
MARS 2012 -  ?  2013 : Australie (Melbourne + Tour du continent)

Toutes ces années à imaginer ce voyage.
Now, it's happening.
YEAH.

STEP 1 : Le trajet. 27 h.

Première aventure...

Oublie du passeport au Duty Free
 =

Some people move their room to the basement.
Others move into an apartment.
More adventurous individuals decide to leave their home to study in the next town or province.

Each and everyone of us have their own way to push their limits, to find their beat.

Here's mine:

APRIL 2011 - SEPTEMBER 2011 : Australia (Benalla + Mt Buller)
SEPTEMBER 2011 - NOVEMBER 2011 : South-East Asia.
NOVEMBER 2011 - MARCH 2012 : Switzerland (St-Moritz)
MARCH 2012 -  ?  2013 : Australia (Melbourne + Tour of the continent)

All these years imagining this trip and now, it's happening.
YEAH.

STEP 1 : Traveling. 27 h.

First adventure...

Forgot my passport at Duty Free
 =
All the employees looking for me in Vancouver airport because I'm just way too lunatic to realise it by myself.

After a 7h flight to Vancouver, another one of 15h delayed for 1h all the way to Sydney, running in the Sydney airport to realise that my flight to Melbourne was already gone, waiting for the next flight and the 1h30 flight to Melbourne, here I am at my final destination.
